Christine Laquet photographic work

My photographic work is the result of my multiple travels and encounters that I gather to create in a sort of collision. I associate images that are not specially or culturally linked: I’m somehow thinking the effect of globalization through photography. Comprehensive transformation, interlinking of nature, urban spaces, portraits… my work aim to produce an alternate logic that presents new meanings. My photographic practice is a constant work in progress, it is like a collection that disseminate, that organize, that remix things that were separated before. Many assemblages can be made. I’m sometimes thinking photography through volume as an attempt to find other dimensions. By collecting elements, it allows me to collect my thoughts, to establish cross paths that are sliding between documentary and fiction. By blurring the boundaries between work, representation and the world experienced, I want to transform our perspectives and to offer other ways of seeing.
